A Visual Rebrand of Hemmings.com
Hemmings Motor News began as a magazine founded by Ernest Hemmings in Quincy, Illinois, in 1954. It has since become the largest and oldest publication in the United States dedicated to traders and collectors of antique, classic, and exotic sports cars, attracting over 3 million unique visitors daily.
In celebration of its 40th anniversary in 2023, Hemmings' President unveiled a new facelift for the brand at the annual SEMA Show. This update aimed to honor the legacy of Hemmings while appealing to both longtime enthusiasts and a new generation of car collectors.

How it all went down.
As the sole UX Designer for our growing company, I collaborated closely with our Marketing team, which partnered with a design agency to develop the main elements for the rebrand—logo, colors, and fonts. Once these elements were finalized, I received the brand book in early September 2023. With the SEMA Show scheduled for the last weekend of October, I was tasked with ensuring the successful launch of the rebrand before the event.
